I am thankful for...
On Facebook, several friends and I have taken on a challenge to think of one thing we are thankful for each day form 11/10/2009 to Thanksgiving on 11/26/2009 and post it as our status. Here is my list. Happy Thanksgiving!
11/10/2009--Today, I am thankful for my precious little boys.
11/11/2009--Today, I am thankful for the quality time that I got to spend with my great-grandmother and that she got to enjoy time with one of my children. I lost her 12/27/2005 and she has been on my mind so much today, because today would have been her 98th birthday.
11/12/2009--Today, I am thankful that I know Jesus as my Lord and Savior and that I have been so abundantly blessed that I can't decide what I am thankful for each day because I have so much to choose from.
11/13/2009--Today, I am thankful for my wonderful husband! We have been so blessed in the 12 years that we've been married.
11/14/2009--Today, I am thankful for my awesome friends who listen to my frustrations and problems and pray over me when times get tough. I am overwhelmed by their love and support.
11/15/2009--Today, I am thankful that I have been able to be a stay-at-home parent to my children since I became a mother and for a husband who has worked really hard to enable me to do that. I wouldn't trade the time I've been able to devote to our boys for anything in the world.
11/16/2009--Today, I am thankful that I am able to homeschool my children. It is such a privilege and a blessing to watch them grow and learn new things everyday.
11/17/2009--Today, I am thankful for Drs. Caspi and Pettitt at Children's Hospital in New Orleans. On 2/5/03, they performed open heart surgery on my nearly 2 year old baby to repair an atrial septal defect. I literally put my life in their hands that day, and I'm grateful for every day I've had with him to watch him grow and prosper.
11/18/2009--Today, I am thankful for our home and for being a homeowner. I moved a lot when I was little and considered my grandparents house to be my home base. That was so comforting for me and I love knowing that our kids have a home base that they can count on.
11/19/2009--Today, I am thankful for the honor and privilege of being a mother to my amazing boys and wishing my sweet baby A a very happy first birthday today!
11/20/2009--Today, I am thankful that Barry has a good job that allows him to support his family with hours that give him an opportunity to spend time with us. Today is one year from the day that he met with them to accept the job, ending a nearly three month lay-off.
11/21/2009--Today, I am thankful for the opportunity to spend time with family and friends.
11/22/2009--Today, I am thankful that my family and Barry's family get along so well and that we can have everyone together. Not everyone can say that their families and their in-laws not along get along but enjoy each other's company. I think it's a blessing to be able to have our families together.
11/23/2009--Today, I am thankful that Barry and I still have our parents. Several of our friends have lost one or both parents already and I feel like we are blessed to still have ours.
11/24/2009--Today, I am thankful for a cup of hot coffee and the few minutes of me time I get when Lil B seemingly reads my thoughts and entertains his little brothers. He's such a good boy!
11/25/2009--Day 16 of my THANKFUL posts--Today, I am thankful for the little things we take for granted everyday.
11/26/2009--Today, I am thankful for family and friends, life and love, traditions and new memories and all the blessings that are too numerous to list here, but for which I am thankful. Happy Thanksgiving and have a blessed day!
