Ch-ch-ch-changes!

We've been homeowners for 6 years now.  We'd moved rather abruptly from the Mississippi gulf coast following Hurricane Katrina back to our hometown a bit further inland.  I was pregnant with C and we were pretty desperate to be in our own home before he arrived.  When we bought our home, we assumed it would be our starter home. Over the years, though, we've decided that we really love this place and have no desire to sell anytime in the foreseeable future.  Of course, The Lord may have other plans for us and that's okay, but from where we're sitting this is it.  A certain mindset forms when you go from "starter home" to "forever home".  Suddenly, projects that were on the "If We Get Around To It" list jump on to the "Holy Guacamole!  We Must Do This NOW!!!!!" list.  Oh yeah...with capital letters and exclamation points and the whole shebang.  Barry is not a lover of home improvement, but even he has the urge to do this.  So, this post has no pics and I'm not committing in writing to completing any projects.  Just blogging that we have plans makes me feel a little sick.  Hopefully and prayerfully, there are some big things on the horizon over here.  Some will be a huge difference and some really won't matter all that much to anyone but the 6 of us.  We're EXCITED!  So stay tuned to see what's happening at our house.
